About Us

Fred and Gail Wilson have been in the construction business and building custom homes for over 4 Decades. We are a Custom Builder. That means the Client is the Boss. We will Build what you want and generally how you want to build it. There are minimum standards the we will not let you go beyond, and we will educate you from our building knowledge and past experiences, but then the decision will be yours. You may have a dream home in mind that is not achievable right now. We will help you draw out the future home complete and then build a piece that you can achieve today, leaving the ability to either add-on or remodel to achieve the ultimate dream in the future.

 Our Story

Owners, Fred and Gail Wilson, have been partners since 1972, in business as well as marriage. Fred grew up in the structural trades and Gail was schooled in design and decorating. It has been quite a trip as you can imagine, but we are fighters and are still involved on a daily basis with the business of building homes. Our desire and goal is to assist you through the building process in a smooth, professional manner. By being directly involved with you, directing you with a proven process of gathering information concerning your desires for your new home and directly supervising each step of the construction process, we can, together, achieve a desirable outcome.

Gail is involved in all aspects of the building process including communications with clients and will be assisting you with your interior and exterior finishes. She is also very active in the West Texas Home Builders Association and has served as President of the West Texas Builders Association Auxiliary and Chaired in its Civic Services as well as many other civic activities. Gail is a graduate of the Interior Design Institute at TSTI.

Fred started construction as a draftsman. It is funny that a fourth grader would scale the home that his parents owned, but Fred actually drew the scale with real walls (2 lines) and redesigned a better plan. Well, it’s been a long time since then; however he has not lost the love of building and designing homes.
In 1968 Fred roofed houses after school and in 1970 became a carpenter’s helper. By 1974 Fred was a full fledged framing carpenter and started his own business. Fred and Gail then started building homes in 1977 and have not looked back since. Over the years they have built large commercial buildings as well as $1,000,000.00 custom homes.

Fred is active in the local, state and national Home Builder’s Association and has been the President of the Amarillo group, Texas Panhandle Builders Association, as well as the Lubbock association, West Texas Home Builders Association. He is currently a Life Director of the Texas Association of Builders and a Director of the National Association of Home Builders. On a National level, he is a member of several Sub-Committees of the Construction, Codes and Standards Committee including Energy and on a State level, he is a member of the Building Codes and Standards Committee. He has served as a Governor Perry appointee of the Texas Industrialized Code Council. Fred is also nationally recognized as the regions only certified Graduate Master Builder.
